TM-P60 Bluetooth portable printer launched at Retail Solutions 2005 to offer retail, warehouse and hospitality environments even greater flexibility and convenience

Hemel Hempstead 7 June 2005.  Epson has announced the availability of a Bluetooth version of the TM-P60, its lightweight and robust thermal mobile printer. Advanced and reliable, it features a full eight-hour life battery and can be used in conjunction with a PDA to achieve queue-busting transactions in retail, as well as printing data in warehouse and hospitality environments.

Featuring a spill-proof casing, the TM-P60 Bluetooth can be hand-held, or mounted on a belt or trolley, and as such it is perfectly suited to virtually all mobile applications. As with the TM-P60 WiFi version, the TM-P60 Bluetooth's battery can be recharged internally or externally via a single or gang charger. This means that the printer can be operated continuously with batteries being replaced when necessary, rather than having to recharge the whole unit and thereby incur downtime.

With its Bluetooth capability and all the functionality of Epson's highly regarded TM-T88 range, the TM-P60 brings advanced performance, speed, quiet printing and reliability into the mobile and wireless printing environment. It can produce receipts, tickets and coupons at 70mm/sec, as well as barcodes, high-resolution graphics and has new fonts which maximise the available column capacity. It is also extremely easy to use due to its drop-in paper roll for easy loading and features a unique partial auto-cutter which prevents paper jams.

Designed to meet the latest open standards, the TM-P60 Bluetooth is compatible with TM-T88 ESC/POS commands, eliminating any need for users to change their system.

The TM-P60 Bluetooth will be demonstrated live at Epson's stand (H24) at Retail Solutions 2005, 7-9th June at the NEC, Birmingham.
