Epson has announced the availability of its latest EPoS system, the SR-610 – a compact, elegant and durable system to improve efficiency, profitability and to enhance customer service. Space-saving and low profile, with an in-built cable management system, the SR-610 makes the most of the available counter space and complements any retail environment. Its spill-proof casing makes it particularly suitable for bars, restaurants and fast-food outlets.   

Featuring an integrated, intuitive touchscreen, the SR-610 offers easy operation to reduce staff training time and costs. The touchscreen is fully adjustable and offers high visibility with a wide viewing angle to ensure maximum operator comfort.

Equipped with an Intel M Processor, the SR-610 has a totally open architecture which allows businesses to select the point of sale software that most meets their needs. The system is flexible and adaptable and can be customised with a range of peripherals – including printers, magnetic stripe readers and cash drawers – to suit the individual users’ requirements.

The SR-610 features a wide range of interface options including serial, USB and Ethernet. As a result it can, for example, be linked to remote printers for applications such as kitchen printing, multiple terminals can share a receipt printer and hand-held terminals can be incorporated enabling mobile customer service. For ease of maintenance the SR-610 includes unique software tools which enable it to be maintained remotely via the internet, ISDN or LAN.
