The highly flexible MR-800 (Modular Register) is the latest addition to Epson's proven range of point of sale solutions (including the Intelligent Register and SR-600). Ideally suited to retail and hospitality environments such as department stores, and convenience retailing, where counter space is at a premium, the space-saving system can be easily configured to meet the retailer's specific requirements.

The MR-800 is based on the powerful Intel PC Processor and optional ultra-thin, touchscreen monitor, with a wide angle, high visibility LCD display and in-built Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR). Retailers are then able to choose the peripherals they require, including any of Epson's TM range of printers and DM-D customer displays, in order to create a fast, efficient and easy to use EPoS system for their business needs. Smaller and newly established retailers can also choose from the competitively priced entry level and mid-range (with CD-ROM) versions of the MR-800.

The product's flexible, modular design and small footprint gives the retailer the freedom to lay out their hardware in order to optimise the available counter space, while it's excellent cable management ensures a tidy point of sale and prevents accidental disconnection.

To ensure flexible connectivity and give retailers the opportunity to upgrade and develop the system as their business expands, the MR-800 is equipped with a wide variety of interface options, including four high-speed COM Ports, one parallel port, four USB ports and Ethernet connection.
