Epson's TM-C100 4-colour printer helps retailers create bespoke high-impact receipts, coupons, tickets and vouchers
Hemel Hempstead, 15 November 2004.
Epson has launched its TM-C100 SEAJet printer to deliver personalised and memorable 4-colour printing at the point of sale, enabling retailers to communicate creatively, build brand loyalty and enhance customer communications. The printer allows variable data to be customised in order to create tailor-made offers and personalised vouchers, suitable for a wide range of applications and environments, including speciality retail, leisure and hospitality.
Using SEAJet printing technology, specifically designed for the demanding point of sale environment, the TM-C100 produces high-resolution colour graphics, images, logos and text quickly and easily. At only 4 x 8 inches, the product has a very compact footprint, and is ideal for on-demand, in-store printing when counter space is at a premium. With a heavy duty auto-cutter and auto-sheet feeder, the printer is capable of accepting a wide range of media including large diameter paper rolls, card, continuous labels and special coated papers. As such it can be used, for example, to produce price tags, gift-cards, tickets, vouchers, membership cards and promotional coupons. In addition, the printer uses pigment ink which is water resistant, light-fast and ozone resistant, making it suitable for outdoor applications, such as tickets for attractions and events.
“The possibilities are endless with the TM-C100. Its functionality, flexibility and ease-of-use gives retailers great potential to make a powerful impact with colour,” said Raj Parmar, marketing manager at Epson UK . “Proven to be significantly cheaper than 2-colour thermal PoS printers, meaning that fast, on-demand colour printing is now a cost-effective reality for the point of sale.”
The TM-C100 features a USB interface, together with OPoS/Windows and JAVA printer drivers to enable it to run in Windows Professional 2000 and XP environments.
