Epson launches CoverPlus extended warranty package
Hemel Hempstead, 12 October 2004.
Epson has developed CoverPlus, an advanced extended warranty
service covering its point of sale printer range, to offer retailers
ensured business continuity and maximum productivity in today’s
competitive market place. Providing direct access to free technical
support, as well as a repair and replacement service, CoverPlus
enables retailers to be fully operational at all times, protecting
their investment in retail technology with a low-risk, low-cost
package.
CoverPlus extends the standard one year back-to-base guarantee
on Epson’s point of sale printers to give three years
protection with a fast, no-fuss service. This provides retailers
with the confidence that any unexpected problems will be overcome,
without jeopardising productivity.
Under the CoverPlus scheme, in the event of a printer failure,
the retailer simply contacts Epson’s Business Support
Group providing the printer’s serial number, location
and details of the fault. If the printer cannot be repaired
a replacement will be provided, pre-configured for compatibility
with the retailer’s system. For many
locations, a replacement printer can be delivered before 12
noon the next working day.
With four different warranty packs available, covering the
entire range of impact, inkjet, thermal and hybrid printers,
there are no hidden costs. As a result, retailers remain in
control and minimise the total cost of ownership.
“In busy retail environments any kind of downtime can
be costly,” said Peter Figoni, commercial manager at
Epson UK. “Our CoverPlus packages give retailers complete
peace of mind and enable them to ensure continued service
for their customers.”
