It goes without saying that with different interests, needs, circumstances and buying habits, no two retail customers are ever the same. With this in mind, Epson has launched the TM-C100 to deliver bespoke 4-colour printing at the point of sale.

At only 4 x 8 inches, the compact TM-C100 enables the user to customise variable data; suitable for creating tailor-made offers and personalised vouchers in-store and on-demand. It's ideal for a wide range of applications and environments including speciality retail, leisure and hospitality.

Using advanced SEAJet ink technology, specifically designed for the demanding point of sale environment, the TM-C100 features a precision printer head which produces a very high concentration of uniform dots, for fast, sharp graphics, text and barcodes.

The printer uses pigment ink which is water resistant, light-fast and ozone resistant and, with auto-cutter and auto-sheet feeder, it accepts various paper media including large diameter rolls, card and continuous labels. Therefore, for example, it can be used to create receipts, price tags, gift vouchers, tickets and promotional coupons. Uniquely, the TM-C100 gives permanent results on standard paper, and it can also print on special coated papers, perfect for producing special security passes or permits.

The TM-C100 has new OPoS-X/Windows and JAVA advanced printer drivers enabling it to run in Windows Professional 2000 and XP environments.

Compact and lightweight, and featuring easy-access operator covers, easy loading mechanism and flexible paper handling, the TM-C100 prints at 35 millimetres per second and is significantly cheaper than 2-colour thermal PoS printers. In addition, the printer’s compact, lightweight and stylish design fits neatly into any environment – perfect for retail PoS, leisure and hospitality environments.
