As today’s competitive market conditions demand that retailers be up and running at all times, Epson has developed CoverPlus, an advanced extended warranty, to enable retailers to minimise downtime and protect their investment in retail technology.
While Epson hardware is among the most reliable on the market, occasionally problems can occur, and so the reassurance of a warranty package becomes all important. Having an efficient ‘back-up’ service, including technical support and product exchange is vital for retailers in ensuring ‘business as usual’ at all times.
CoverPlus extends the standard one year guarantee on Epson’s point of sale printers, giving three years protection and peace of mind with a low-cost, low-risk package. This gives retailers the confidence to overcome any unexpected problems without jeopardising productivity. With direct access to free technical support, as well as a repair and replacement service, there are no hidden costs, meaning retailers remain in control and minimise the total cost of ownership. There are four different warranty packs available to cover Epson’s range of impact, inkjet, thermal and hybrid printers.
Using the CoverPlus service is quick and easy. In the event of a printer failure, the retailer simply contacts Epson’s Business Support Group and provides the printer's serial number, location and details of the fault. Then, if the printer can’t be repaired, Epson will provide a permanent replacement pre-configured for compatibility with the retailers system.
If required, Epson are even able to deliver a replacement printer to a store location before 12 noon the next working day (or before 5.30pm in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland), for calls received before 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. The faulty product will be removed at the same time and the unexpired portion of the warranty transferred to the replacement product.
