| Arciris has
installed Epson Intelligent Registers (IRs) running Iridium
point of sale at the first c-store joint venture between Budgens
and an independent retailer. Rebecca and Jonathan James have
already installed Iridium at two of their petrol forecourts,
so it was the natural choice for their 7,500sq ft supermarket
in Soham, Cambridgeshire, which formally opened in September
2003.
Arnotts, Dublin's leading department store, has decided
that the Epson IR is the ideal hardware platform for its new
point of sale system.
The Aviator Hotel in Northamptonshire, has installed
nine SR-600 touchscreen terminals, running software from hospitality
specialists, Avon Data Systems. The distinctive art deco hotel
is located in the original terminal building and RAF Officers'
Mess on the outskirts of Sywell Aerodrome.
Fast expanding sandwich bar franchise, O'Briens
has installed Epson SR-600 terminals in its two new Danish
restaurants in Copenhagen and Aarhus. In 2002, the Update
reported how the chain had successfully piloted the system,
running Posera's Maitre D' software.
Good Days News, a chain of convenience store shops
based in Somerset, has installed nine IR terminals, running
ShopMate software from Lincolnshire-based, Retail Data Partnership.
