Enabling retailers to scan, capture and deposit cheques directly to their bank account from their corporate premises, Epson’s TM-S1000 speeds up interaction between banks and depositing customers, not only saving them time spent on making trips to the bank but also reducing cheque processing costs and improving cash flow.
Providing the perfect solution for capturing cheques using back office capture (BOC), remote deposit capture (RDC) or a combination of the two, Epson’s TM-S1000 desktop cheque scanner is ideal for deployment in the retail and financial sectors. The scanner automatically captures images from cheques by double-side scanning, recognising and franking; allowing retailers to deposit cheques electronically into their account using specialised software, doing away with the need to go to the bank.
Combining RDM’s MICR algorithms and imaging to provide the highest MICR accuracy in its class, the TM-S1000 features clear electronic endorsements, a double cheque detector that virtually eliminates the need for double cheque feeding and a built-in franker that prevents double processing by printing static messages on cheques.
It is easy-to-use and maintain. The franker unit is quick and easy to replace, eliminating the need for special training to operate the scanner. Whether used in the back-office or teller stations, the cheque scanner’s advanced self-diagnostic feature keeps the operator informed of the scanner status and clear error messages.
Available with scan rate options of 30 and 60 DPM, the compact TM-S1000 features two pocket support which provides the flexibility to process and segregate cheques and payment coupons, and includes a 100 sheet document feeder for high volume processing. With a MCBF of 2.47 million documents, Epson’s cheque scanner enables retail and financial institutions to streamline business operations, enhance productivity and increase cost-efficiency.
