When it comes to take away food, pizza is now passé. SCOFF in Fulham, London has taken the junk out of the conventional take away menu with their high-quality food, cooked using the very best, traditionally farmed ingredients.
With a delectable main course menu that includes beef braised in West Country ale, slow-cooked Mediterranean lamb, vegetable tagine and scrumptious desserts such as warm apple, almond and calvados cake, and organic Cornish ice cream – SCOFF’s eclectic fare delivered directly at your doorstep is sure to make taste buds tingle. And with two gastro-pubs in Devon already to their credit, the owners of SCOFF, Steve and Sarah Rushton seem to have mastered the recipe for gastronomic success with their latest venture which recently launched its second outlet in Kingston.
To ensure customer service was on par with the quality of food delivered by SCOFF, Steve and Sarah felt it was vital to employ the latest technology to streamline business operations. Steve explained, “We believe that it’s important to future-proof our business and use professional software and systems. This will enable the business to grow whilst maintaining a professional appearance to our customers.”
To this end, SCOFF implemented Andromeda’s Rameses EPoS system which combines a fully-featured order-taking system with a driver dispatching system. The system has a user-friendly interface and includes features such as inventory & labour cost control, two second card processing, SMS messaging on dispatch, free online mapping and integrated 24/7 web ordering. To maximise efficiency in the kitchen, two EBN Flat Panel PCs have also been fitted to the walls, enabling the kitchen staff to read orders as they are taken at the front-of-house.
The EPoS solution includes Epson printers – the TM-T88IV thermal printer at the front-of-house and the TM-U220 high-performance impact printer in the kitchen. Designed specifically for a high volume sales environment, the easy-to-use TM-T88IV helps deliver fast transactions while the durableTM-U220 with its compact footprint is ideal for maximising counter space in SCOFF’s kitchen.
“The software is simple to use and easy to train staff on,” said Steve. “The hardware is user-friendly and simple, and the printers are lovely. We use Epson printers in our other establishments too and they are very reliable.”
