Recognised the world over for its expertise on colours, Farrow & Ball offers customers an extensive range of elegant decorative and architectural paint finishes, along with an extraordinary collection of artisanal wallpapers.
Founded in the 1930s in Dorset, by chemists John Farrow & Richard Ball, Farrow & Ball has rapidly established a reputation for quality. With showrooms in London, Paris, New York and Milan amongst other global locations, the company felt the need for an EPoS system which was flexible, easy-to-install and one that enabled it to gain real-time visibility of business performance from anywhere in the world.
After reviewing a number of solutions, Farrow & Ball decided to invest in ASP-based software from specialist Cybertill and thermal printers from Epson. The new solution was initially deployed at the company’s showrooms in the UK and other European locations, followed by a phased roll-out programme at its outlets in the US.
Now implemented across Farrow & Ball’s showrooms in Chelsea, Guildford, Harrogate, Edinburgh, Paris, Boston, Greenwich, Chicago, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Islington, Richmond and Dublin, the new solution has attracted positive feedback from users in both the UK and US stores. Harvey Roberts, Retail Operations manager at Farrow & Ball explains, “We now have a comprehensive and a functionally-rich EPoS system. Our retail team has rapidly come to rely upon the high level of instant information on sales and customers that the solution provides.”
Chosen for their impressive speed and performance, Epson’s TM-T88IV receipt printers are installed at the point of sale in Farrow & Ball’s showrooms. “The printers are fast and reliable which has further enhanced customer service,” said Harvey. “They are easy to operate and maintain, and have improved the efficiency of our operations.”
