With an outlet in each major town in Ireland today, the leading mobile phone retailer’s future plans include opening 8 new stores by March 2008, increasing the total number of outlets in the country to 75.

Providing the widest range of handsets and accessories, The Carphone Warehouse’s commitment to customer satisfaction has undoubtedly been a key factor in its retail success. While technology has always been at the core of its operations, the company’s new expansion strategy called for a more sophisticated PoS system at its new stores and a revamp of existing technology at its current outlets in a concerted effort to maximise efficiency and enhance customer service at the point of sale.

To satisfy the need for a high-performing, reliable point of sale system, The Carphone Warehouse selected Epson’s TM-U950 printer and Metrologic’s Voyager scanner, sourced from local provider Pulse IT. “IT is my number one priority when opening a new store.
