Epson’s world-renowned TM-T88 thermal printer series is used by retailers across the world including Paul Smith, Ted Baker, Ottakers, The Conran Shop and Liberty. Now, Epson has launched a new improved and faster version – the TM-T88IV.

With 25% faster printing than its predecessor, a re-designed case, two-colour capability and new easy-to-use features, the TM-T88IV offers more speed and reliability than ever before. Ideal for demanding, high-volume retail and hospitality environments, its 200mm per second print speed, enhanced graphic capability and increased user memory, enables the new TM-T88IV to deliver ultra-fast receipts. Unlike other PoS printers, it prints text, barcodes and graphics at the same fast speed.

The printer features easy drop-in paper roll loading, auto-cutter, full auto status back reporting, enhanced cable management system, optional external power supply mounting, maintenance counter and optional buzzer. It benefits from lower power consumption and offers increased reliability with a Mean Characters Before Failure of 52 million lines, a Mean Time Before Failure of 360,000 hours and an autocutter life of 1.5 million cuts.

The TM-T88IV adds a new range of high-speed interfaces including USB 2 and Powered USB, to existing ethernet, serial and parallel interface options. It also includes new OPoS, Java and Win APD (Advanced Printer Driver) drivers for seamless integration with existing systems.
