Retail specialist Nisyst has teamed up with Visimetrics – an expert in Digital Video Recording (DVR) technology - to offer ‘PoSDVR’, the world's first combined EPoS and digital video recording system based on Epson’s IR-700.

Integrating Nisyst’s NPoS software with Visimetric’s OCTAR application, PoSDVR enables users to capture, store and access digitally recorded CCTV images all through Epson’s IR-700.

PoSDVR enables users to pinpoint CCTV footage based on transaction data itself, rather than simply by date and time, as is the case with traditional VHS recordings. Other advantages include high-quality image record, ultra-sharp freeze frame with no tape library to manage and no replacement media required.
